"Best in English" Competition

Impressive Results Achieved by HAK Steyr Students

We are thrilled to announce that 50 students from HAK Steyr participated in this year's "Best in English" competition, which saw a total of 704 schools and 34 countries taking part. This unique online English language contest, open to all high schools and their students aged 14-19, is held within the EU and beyond, with the top performers winning a 2-week trip to Canada.

Although none of our students secured the top prize, we are immensely proud of their achievements! Carmen Ganner from 5DK (97 points, 27 minutes) emerged as the winner, followed closely by Florian Himmelbauer from 4DK (97 points, 36 minutes). Gloria Schaupp, also from 4DK, scored an impressive 93.5 points and was awarded the third prize. As a reward for their outstanding performance, these three excellent students of English were given a voucher for our new school hoodies. Isabella Winninger (4DK) and Jana Kronsteiner (2CK), who ranked 4th and 5th respectively, were presented with our new school bottles.

We are already excited about next year's competition and hope to achieve even better results. If you're curious to test your English skills, you can try out this year's test for free by visiting the following website:
