Our trip to London

This school-year we definitely wanted to go on a final class trip. Our form-master Mr. Dieter Kroneisl suggested a trip to London. So we began to plan our excursion.

We booked the flight and reserved a hotel, which was not very easy to find. Finally we found one which was not too expensive.

On October 9 we finally started our trip. We met at the airport in Linz. The flight lasted one and a half hours. When we arrived in London Stansted we had to go by bus to Marble Arch. From there we had to walk to Notting Hill and finally we took the tube to our hotel, the Lords Hotel, which is not very far away from Hyde Park. We were very tired and so we went to bed immediately.

On the next day we started our sightseeing tour of London. The first place we went to was Buckingham Palace, then we walked through St. James Park. Our next stop was at Big Ben where we took a lot of photos. We also saw St. Paul?s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.
Then we visited the London Museum, which was really interesting. We also went to the fascinating London Eye, from which you get a wonderful view of London.

The evening we spent at our hotel.
On the second day first we went to the Natural History Museum and in the afternoon we went shopping to Camden Market. The most terrible thing in London was the food.

On our third day we went to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Then we went to the Tate Gallery, where you can see many pieces of modern art.
We liked the City very much and were really very happy that we had decided to fly to London. The last evening we spent together at our hotel where we had a lot of fun.

Our teachers Mr Kroneisl and Ms Dorfer were very friendly and we were very happy that they went with us.
On our last day we had to get up very early and we took the tube to Marble Arch and then to Stansted airport.

It was the best trip we ever made together and we would recommend everybody to fly to London.
